WHAT?
The University of Arkansas-Fort Smith National Brass Academy features the Apex Brass Quintet and world renowned soloist Sam Pilafian and Pat Sheridan. The National Brass Academy is one of the few Summer camps devoted exclusively to brass players, in which high school and college students will immerse themselves in an intensive week of aristic development.
Students will be selected to form brass choirs
and chamber ensembles. Daily activities will include rehearsals, private lessons, masterclasses, concerts, and lot of
one on one time - all led by members of the Apex Brass and our special guest artists.
WHERE?
The National Brass Academy will take place on the campus of the
University of Arkansas - Fort Smith. Located on the Arkansas River at the Arkansas -
Oklahoma border, Fort Smith is perched between mountain ranges and scenic national
forests to the north and south.
WHEN?
The National Brass Academy will begin on the evening of June 22nd, 2008 and end on
June 28th, 2008.
